Police Chief Bareskrim Wahyu Widada said police seized assets and evidence related to criminal activities worth about Rp 1.5 trillion (US$94 million). The suspects had built a modern laboratory to produce synthetic drugs.

At the scene, authorities seized dozens of kilograms of synthetic drugs that had been completed and were ready for market, as well as raw materials to produce more than 2 million pills, along with thousands of fresh poppies. The raw materials were mainly sourced from abroad.

Mr. Wahyu said the subjects used the trick of putting liquid drugs in electronic cigarette boxes to evade authorities.
