Some schools have recommended that relevant levels and sectors complete procedures to speed up the construction of missing classrooms according to the resolution of the Provincial People's Council.
On the afternoon of November 25, the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council supervised a number of schools in Gia Loc district on the current status of food safety, organization of boarding meals, and hygiene in schools; the implementation of Resolution No. 64/NQ-HDND dated November 6, 2023 of the Provincial People's Council on supporting funding for the construction of classrooms in public preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools in the province for the period 2023-2025. This is the last session of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee's supervision program at a number of schools.
Of the 7 schools monitored by the delegation, 6 schools were supported with funding to build classrooms in accordance with Resolution No. 64/NQ-HDND. However, up to now, there are still 3 schools whose projects have not yet started: Tan Binh Secondary School, Hai Tan Secondary School (Hai Duong City) and Thong Nhat Secondary School (Gia Loc). Tu Ky Town Primary School, Dai Son Kindergarten (Tu Ky) and Yet Kieu Primary School (Gia Loc) have started construction.
Schools recommend that relevant levels and sectors pay attention to completing procedures to soon start construction of the missing classrooms; speed up the construction progress of ongoing projects; build more student toilets. Some kindergartens and primary schools recommend building new boarding kitchens, equipping student toilets, etc.
The monitoring delegation of the Culture and Social Affairs Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council received the recommendations of the schools to synthesize and report to the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, and at the same time requested relevant localities to speed up the construction of classrooms in accordance with the resolution, especially completing procedures to disburse funds as soon as possible according to regulations. Some schools need to focus on ensuring food hygiene and safety for boarding meals according to regulations, regularly cleaning student toilets...
From November 21-25, the Department of Culture and Society supervised a number of schools in Tu Ky, Gia Loc districts and Hai Duong city regarding the above contents.
