All four gold medals, silver and bronze medals at the 2024 Hai Duong Provincial Rowing Championship belonged to rowers from Binh Giang and Gia Loc.
On the morning of October 27, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized the 2024 Hai Duong Province Rowing Championship.
The tournament took place at Bach Dang Lake (Hai Duong City), attracting 14 boat teams (7 men's teams, 7 women's teams) with more than 200 rowers from Gia Loc, Binh Giang districts and Hai Duong City.
Athletes compete in four events: women's 200m and 500m, men's 200m and 500m.
Despite the rainy weather, the rowers competed with great determination. As a result, Gia Loc 1 team won the gold medal in the women's 200m boat event; Gia Loc 2 team won the gold medal in the women's 500m boat event; Binh Giang 2 team won the gold medal in both the men's 500m and 200m boat events. The remaining silver and bronze medals were all won by rowers from Binh Giang and Gia Loc.
In this tournament in 2023, there are 6 competitions, of which Binh Giang team won 4 events.
This is an activity to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Dong (1804 - 2024), the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Duong city (October 30, 1954 - October 30, 2024).
Through the tournament, we aim to encourage the movement of practicing and competing in the traditional sport of the nation, contributing to promoting the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho".
