Special national relic sites in Hai Duong welcome thousands of tourists

On the night of January 21 and 22 (ie December 30, Nham Dan year and the morning of the first day of the Lunar New Year, Quy Mao year), thousands of people and tourists also came to worship and offer incense at famous historical sites, temples and pagodas.

Kiep Bac Temple worships national hero Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and his entire family.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy Lien, Head of the Management Board of Con Son-Kiep Bac Relics, one of the four special national relics of Hai Duong, during the first days of the Lunar New Year holiday, the relic welcomed about 5,000 visitors to worship and offer incense.

The Management Board of Con Son-Kiep Bac Relics has planted 2,000 sacred flags and red flags; hung hundreds of lanterns, thousands of meters of string flags... at the relics; set up a system of billboards and banners for visual propaganda at the relics' premises, the routes leading to Con Son and Kiep Bac relics, Nguyen Trai Temple, Tran Nguyen Dan Temple, Con Son Lake..., renovated the entire system of visual propaganda signs at the two Con Son-Kiep Bac Relics; repaired and completely installed the lighting system and decorative colored lights at the relics to ensure service for the festival.

The management board also promoted the Spring Festival program and the journey to build the World Heritage dossier of Yen Tu-Vinh Nghiem-Con Son and Kiep Bac relic complexes to tourists.

Along with that, the relic management board has coordinated with local authorities to ensure security and order, fire prevention and safety, food safety and hygiene; strictly handle cases of practicing superstition and soliciting tourists.

Chi Linh City Police have arranged 2 working groups to be on duty at the two relics of Con Son and Kiep Bac to ensure security and order and support tourists. In the relics' premises, the Management Board has also increased propaganda and instructed people on environmental protection; supplemented equipment and tools for waste treatment; upgraded and built new public sanitation facilities; planted additional trees and flowers to create landscapes for the relics...

The 2023 Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival will take place from February 4-13. The highlight of the festival is the 689th anniversary of the passing of the Third Patriarch of Truc Lam Huyen Quang Venerable (1334-2023) and the opening ceremony of the 2023 Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival.

In addition to traditional rituals, the festival also has many special programs such as the Chung cake wrapping and Day cake pounding contest; Clay firecracker festival; traditional wrestling and chess competitions..., promising to attract a large number of people and tourists from all over the world.

The new feature of this year's program is the Con Son-Kiep Bac Spring Festival Cultural Tourism Week 2023 with many attractive activities at the Con Son experience area such as booths introducing typical tourism products and typical agricultural products of Hai Duong; art performances for visitors to enjoy and directly participate in experiences such as Cheo singing, Van singing, Ca Tru singing...

Mr. Ha Quang Thanh, Head of the relic management board of Cam Giang district, said that during the 2 days of Lunar New Year holiday (30th and 1st day of Tet - January 21st and 22nd), 2 special national relics in the district, Mao Dien Temple of Literature and Bia Temple - Giam Pagoda - Xua Temple, welcomed more than 2,000 visitors to worship and offer incense.

To welcome local people and visitors, the relic management board has conducted a general cleaning of the inner temple grounds, parking lot, and entrance to the relic; decorated the festival, planted red flags, sacred flags, and arranged to hang large flags at the relics. At Mao Dien Temple of Literature, the management board has printed billboards introducing the rules of the Huong and Hoi examinations during the feudal period (Le and Nguyen dynasties) and introducing the Huong examination school of Hai Duong town located in Mao Dien; displayed the Mao Dien Temple of Literature past and present; introduced the life and career of Saint Confucius and the great scholars worshiped at Mao Dien Temple of Literature.

At the Bia Temple-Giam Pagoda-Xua Temple relic site, the Management Board has printed a banner introducing the medical ethics of Saint Tue Tinh; exhibited the theme: "The value of the memorial relic cluster of Great Physician-Zen Master Tue Tinh of Xua Temple, Giam Pagoda, Bia Temple"... The People's Committee of Cam Giang district has also assigned the district police force and the local authorities of Cam Dien, Cam Van, and Cam Vu to strengthen and support security and order work, ensure traffic safety at the relics; and resolutely not let gambling take place.
