The Three Buddha statues of Con Son pagoda become national treasures

On January 18, the Prime Minister decided to recognize 29 national treasures (12th batch) as national treasures. Hai Duong has 3 recognized treasures.

The three recognized treasures of Hai Duong include: Hiep An brown-flowered ceramic jar from the Tran Dynasty, dating from the 13th - 14th century, currently preserved at the Hai Duong Provincial Museum; a set of Three Buddha statues from Con Son Pagoda, dating from the Le Trung Hung period, currently worshiped at Con Son Pagoda (Cong Hoa Ward, Chi Linh); woodblocks from Tram Gian Pagoda, dating from the 17th - 20th century, currently preserved at Tram Gian Pagoda, An Binh Commune (Nam Sach).

Huu Chung bronze drum, dating from Dong Son culture, is the earliest antique recognized as a national treasure of Hai Duong, 3rd batch in 2015.

Thus, after 12 periods, Hai Duong has 11 national treasures, including: Huu Chung bronze drum, Thanh Huu Dong stele, Cuu Pham Lien Hoa stele of Giam pagoda, Thanh Mai Vien Thong stele, Cuu Pham Lien Hoa stele of Dong Ngo pagoda, Kinh Chu cave stele system, Con Son Tu Phuc stele, Sung Thien stele and the 3 treasures mentioned above.
