The Chinese Embassy in Singapore said that on August 10, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi arrived in Singapore, starting a tour of three Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore, Malaysia and Cambodia.

According to the Singaporean Government, Mr. Wang Yi will visit Singapore until August 11 and have separate meetings with his host counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan and Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.
Previously, on August 9, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced Mr. Wang Yi's visit and emphasized that China hopes to increase strategic information exchanges with the three Southeast Asian countries through this trip.
After leaving Singapore, Mr. Wang Yi will travel to Malaysia on August 11 and finally Cambodia. Mr. Wang Yi's tour of the three Southeast Asian countries will last until August 13.
