On the evening of June 28, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son sent a telegram to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities on strengthening measures to ensure security and safety for the 2023 high school graduation exam.

The telegram stated: The 2023 high school graduation exam was held with two exams: Literature and Mathematics. The exam invigilation was carried out seriously and in accordance with regulations at all examination councils nationwide. Although the risk of using high technology to cheat on exams has been predicted and stated in the directives and guidelines of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and is one of the key training contents, there are still cases where candidates intentionally use high-tech devices to transfer exam questions to the outside.
The Ministry of Education and Training requests the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities to thoroughly instruct the Provincial Steering Committees to focus on directing the Examination Councils to urgently carry out the following tasks:
Heads of examination sites shall increase dissemination and remind candidates to strictly follow examination regulations; Require examination invigilators, examination room supervisors and forces participating in organizing the examination to concentrate highly, apply the knowledge and skills that have been trained to prevent violations of examination regulations, especially the use of technological devices to cheat on exams; Promptly report to competent authorities to handle violations according to regulations.
Heads of examination sites continue to strengthen coordination with security forces to have measures to ensure security and safety of the examination in the area, especially to prevent and stop the use of high technology to violate regulations.
Provinces and cities proactively provide information to the press about the exam situation, handling of violations of regulations and unusual situations for timely propaganda, warning and deterrence.
Tomorrow (June 29), candidates will take the Natural Science or Social Science exam in the morning and the Foreign Language exam in the afternoon.
In 2023, more than 943,300 candidates this year will use their results to both consider graduation recognition and apply to universities and colleges. The number of candidates who only consider graduation is nearly 47,800.
The 2023 high school graduation exam scores will be announced at 8:00 a.m. on July 18. Candidates can then enter and adjust their university admission wishes on the Ministry of Education and Training's common system from 10:00 to 17:00 on July 30.
