Recently, the situation of murder crimes with hooliganism and brutality has had complicated developments in provinces and cities across the country.

Faced with the above situation, Lieutenant General To An Xo, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, informed about a number of solutions to prevent and combat serious murder cases in the coming time.

According to the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, recently in some localities, there have been a number of particularly serious murder cases that have caused a stir in public opinion, such as: The case of Giap Thi Huyen Trang (born in 1996, from Bac Giang) kidnapping and killing a girl in Gia Lam district, Hanoi to demand a ransom of 1.5 billion VND; Ta Duy Khanh (born in 1985, from Thai Binh) murdering, dismembering the victim's body and dumping it in the Red River; The case of suspect Nguyen Van Hiep (born in 1986, from Thai Nguyen) murdering his girlfriend at a fashion store in Bac Ninh and then committing suicide...

Identifying murder as a particularly serious crime that affects security, order, and the peaceful life of the people, the Ministry of Public Security pays special attention to implementing preventive measures to promptly and early prevent tragic incidents and serious murder cases from occurring; at the same time, resolutely implementing measures to attack, arrest, and strictly handle crimes to create deterrence.

Lieutenant General To An Xo said that in the coming time, to continue to fight and prevent murder crimes more effectively, the Ministry of Public Security will promote measures such as advising the Party Committee and the government to effectively resolve social security issues, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, and job creation for workers; improve the quality of school education in a balanced direction, attaching importance to the synchronization between cultural education and building a moral foundation.

The Ministry of Public Security strengthens the capacity of the commune-level police force to proactively grasp the situation in a timely manner, detect and promptly resolve conflicts among the people, especially conflicts over land disputes, property borrowing, etc. Promote the role of mediation teams and socio-political teams; do not let conflicts arise that are urgent and prolonged, leading to conflict resolution by violence.

In addition, the Ministry of Public Security also carries out the management and education of subjects in residential areas, especially those with criminal records, drug addicts in the community. Coordinates with functional units to send people with mental illness to treatment facilities, and closely coordinates the management of people subject to compulsory treatment measures.

Coordination between local departments and agencies is also focused on, promoting propaganda and raising legal awareness for people, especially laws on criminal, civil, marriage, family, and prevention of school violence.

Focus on communication on mass media portals, social networking sites, and grassroots information systems; mobilize the participation of telecommunications and information technology businesses, prestigious people in the community, etc. to coordinate propaganda to prevent murder crimes.

Along with that, the Ministry of Public Security will step up the investigation and handling of murder cases, especially cases that attract public attention, and not let murder cases with unknown perpetrators remain unsolved.
