According to the leader of K Hospital, the person who made the complaint on social media did not provide specific evidence and the time of the incident, so the problem could not be resolved.
In recent days, a video of Ms. D.TT (a charity porridge distributor) has appeared on social media denouncing the negative aspects of K Hospital (Tam Hiep facility, Thanh Tri, Hanoi). This woman claims that each time a patient receives radiation therapy here, they must prepare 200,000 VND to give to the medical staff so they don't have to wait long.
On August 20, K Hospital (Hanoi) sent a press release responding to the incident, affirming that the information in the above clip was fabricated, slanderous, and insulting to the image and reputation of the unit. The hospital invited the police to investigate, but there is currently no conclusion.
However, the issue that the community is most concerned about is the incident where each time a patient goes for radiotherapy, they have to pay a "bribe" of 200,000 VND, which has not been clearly mentioned by the hospital.
The leader of K Hospital said that the information that patients have to put 200,000 VND in their notebooks to receive early radiation treatment is causing outrage in the community and the hospital's stance is not to cover up negativity.
However, the person who shared the incident, Ms. D.TT, did not provide clear evidence, only hearing the patient's story.
“We have a headache because the hospital has a bad reputation, so we want to resolve it immediately. Currently, there is no evidence so we cannot handle it. If the information is accurate and specific, the hospital will strictly follow the regulations,” the leader affirmed.
Dr. Phung Thi Huyen, Head of the Quality Management Department of K Hospital, said that every year, the hospital has a quality control plan to better serve patients.
Since April, the hospital has had two inspection teams inspect the Tam Hiep and Tan Trieu facilities (Thanh Tri, Hanoi) with evaluation criteria such as guidance, reception, instruction, facility conditions for patient care, security, fire and explosion, patient care and nutrition activities... The team has collected patient opinions on the service attitude of medical staff, including issues of harassment and extortion.
According to Dr. Huyen, the evaluation forms are anonymous to protect patients. The forms are collected in the residential area and the boarding house area around the hospital. In a preliminary summary, the Quality Management Department did not record any complaints about having to put money in medical records or "bribe" envelopes for doctors.
