Ninh Binh Provincial Police have just coordinated with Mong Cai City Police (Quang Ninh) to arrest Pham Van Loc (from Thanh Mien, Hai Duong), a wanted subject for the crime of storing and circulating counterfeit money.
Accordingly, at around 10:30 p.m. on October 3, in Hai Yen Ward, Mong Cai City (Quang Ninh), the Investigation Security Department coordinated with the Criminal Police Department of Ninh Binh Provincial Police and Mong Cai City Police to discover and arrest Pham Van Loc (born in 1964, residing in Tu Cuong Commune, Thanh Mien District, Hai Duong). Pham Van Loc was wanted under Wanted Decision No. 01, dated January 21, 1998 of the Investigation Security Agency of Ninh Binh Provincial Police for the crime of storing and circulating counterfeit money.
Before that, around May 1996, while working in Lang Son, Pham Van Loc met and had a relationship with Do Thi Van (born in 1972, in Thach La village, Thach Binh commune, Nho Quan district, Ninh Binh).
The two discussed and pooled money to buy counterfeit money to sell. Afterwards, the two bought 5,800,000 VND in counterfeit money in denominations of 20,000 VND and 50,000 VND to sell.
When the incident was discovered, the Ninh Binh Provincial Police Department of Security Investigation initiated a case and prosecuted Do Thi Van and two other subjects for handling according to the law. Pham Van Loc was on the run and was wanted.
