Ensuring safety for Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023

The Secretary of the City Party Committee highly appreciated the preparation and implementation work of the Festival Organizing Committee; at the same time, he stated that after 3 years of interruption due to the impact of Covid-19, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023 is expected to attract a large number of domestic and foreign tourists to the city, creating a recovery and breakthrough in tourism, and developing the local socio-economy. Up to now, all preparations have been completed, ensuring aesthetics and safety.

Mr. Nguyen Van Quang noted that the Department of Natural Resources and Environment regularly reviews and ensures environmental sanitation to serve and welcome domestic and international tourists. The authorities focus on ensuring urban aesthetics, food safety and hygiene, and market management in the city.

To ensure the Festival takes place safely and successfully, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee recommends that Party committees, Party organizations, agencies, localities and units need to identify that organizing the event is a common responsibility, not the sole task of the Organizing Committee. During the Festival, units need to mobilize the maximum number of participating forces to complete the assigned tasks, especially for the core departments, branches and sectors in the Organizing Committee.

The Party Executive Committee of the Da Nang City People's Committee directed relevant sectors to be proactive in coordination and effectively resolve arising issues to well organize the proposed plan; strengthen inspection of agencies, localities and units in the implementation of assigned tasks. Localities and units focus on ensuring political security, social order and safety, traffic safety, fire and explosion prevention and control in the fireworks display area, the stands and around the stands.

Previously, the Da Nang City Party Committee announced the direction of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee on the organization of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023. Accordingly, this is an important cultural - tourism event, carrying the image and brand of Da Nang.

The opening ceremony of the Festival with fireworks display by Team Vietnam and Finland will take place at 8:00 p.m. on June 2 at the stage along the Han River.
