On the afternoon of July 5, Comrade Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hai Duong province, presented the decision to transfer and appoint Dr. Nguyen Van Tuong, Head of the Medical Affairs Department (Hai Duong Department of Health) to hold the position of Director of Hai Duong Tropical Diseases Hospital. The term of office is 5 years, from July 5, 2024 to July 4, 2029.
Previously, Dr. Nguyen Van Hai, Director of Hai Duong Tropical Diseases Hospital, was transferred to work at Hai Duong Children's Hospital and held the position of Hospital Director, replacing comrade Nguyen Thi Thuc who retired from June 1, 2024.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assessed that over the past years, especially during the Covid-19 outbreak, Hai Duong Tropical Diseases Hospital has always fulfilled its tasks well, contributing to Hai Duong's step-by-step control and containment of the pandemic, bringing life back to a new normal state, promoting rapid and sustainable recovery and development of the local socio-economy. However, in order to meet the requirements and tasks in the new situation, the hospital needs to continue to invest in infrastructure, equipment, medical supplies, especially constantly improving the quality of human resources.
It is recommended that in the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee and the Department of Home Affairs continue to advise on the full complement of Deputy Directors, leaders of departments and professional offices of Hai Duong Tropical Diseases Hospital. The Department of Health has a plan to train and create conditions for hospital staff to fully participate in national projects to fully update new knowledge in the prevention and treatment of infectious diseases and in the prevention of HIV/AIDS.
The new Director of the Hospital for Tropical Diseases is responsible for reviewing and proposing to the province a plan for training and improving the quality of human resources, meeting immediate and long-term requirements, ensuring continuity.
