According to the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Kim Thanh district, the whole district currently has 8 tree growing areas with codes.
The total area of the coded growing area is 143 hectares. Of which, 3 banana growing areas in Tuan Viet, Kim Xuyen, Kim Dinh communes are 49 hectares wide, 3 watermelon growing areas in Binh Dan, Kim Tan, Dong Cam communes are 79 hectares wide, 1 onion and garlic growing area in Cong Hoa commune is 5 hectares wide and 1 leafy vegetable growing area in Tam Ky commune is 10 hectares wide.
Kim Thanh district is continuing to complete the dossier to submit to the province to grant codes for a 10-hectare spinach growing area in Dai Duc commune and a 36-hectare sticky rice growing area in Kim Anh commune.
Issuing growing area codes helps people raise awareness in planting, caring for, harvesting agricultural products and consuming them conveniently, improving competitiveness in the market. In 2022, the agricultural production value of Kim Thanh district reached over 163 million VND/ha, an increase of more than 5 million/ha compared to the previous year.
