The scientific topic conducted by the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Hai Duong province pointed out 8 difficulties and barriers in the digital transformation process in Hai Duong.
On the morning of July 30, the Department of Science and Technology organized a provincial-level acceptance of the scientific project "Research on factors affecting the digital transformation process in Hai Duong province" chaired by the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations.
The project manager is Master Tran Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations.
Receiving comments from the grassroots acceptance meeting in early July 2024, the Project Management Board provided and clarified many contents related to the current status of the digital transformation process in Hai Duong, emphasizing the factors affecting the construction and formation of digital citizens.
The topic has pointed out 8 difficulties and barriers from Hai Duong people in the digital transformation process, including lack of information about digital transformation; lack of skills in using smart electronic devices; fear of changing habits; fear of data leakage; fear of being scammed; difficulties in administrative procedures; lack of equipment; high cost of digital transformation. Of the total 2,500 collected statistical samples, "fear of being scammed" and "fear of personal data leakage" are 2 barriers with high proportions, 56.5% and 55% respectively.
In addition, through statistics, the topic also pointed out the level of satisfaction of people in the province with digital products and services being deployed in the area. Accordingly, people are most satisfied with online payment services, online shopping and the province's propaganda activities on digital transformation.
To promote the province's digital transformation process, the Project Management Board proposed 7 solutions, including popularizing digital devices and applications in the community; encouraging the use of devices and applications by age; improving digital transformation capacity for population groups; supporting occupational groups according to digital transformation requirements; enhancing leadership roles in digital transformation; building internal institutions of agencies and units in digital transformation; developing specialized human resources to carry out digital transformation.
At the acceptance meeting, members of the Acceptance Council assessed the edited and supplemented topic as professional and in-depth. The Acceptance Council unanimously gave the topic a good score, and requested the Project Management Board to accept the criticism and promptly complete it to serve as a basis and scientific basis for advising on policy development to promote digital transformation in the province.
