Hai Duong City has awarded prizes to 47 winners of 4 art composition contests about the city.
On the morning of October 17, at the Dong Xu Cultural Center, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Duong City held a conference to honor "Outstanding Citizens", commend "Thanh Dong People - Good words, beautiful actions" and award prizes for art creation contests to celebrate the 220th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Dong (1804-2024), the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Hai Duong City (October 30, 1954 - October 30, 2024).
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Ngoc Chau congratulated the winners of the art composition contests celebrating the 220th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Dong (1804-2024) and the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of Hai Duong City (October 30, 1954 - October 30, 2024).
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged and appreciated the results of labor and artistic creation of authors from all over the country who have worked hard to research and learn about Hai Duong City in particular and Hai Duong Province in general to create works that contribute to enriching the cultural treasure of Thanh Dong and the culture of Dong Hai Duong.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the value and spread of the competitions and suggested that authors and lovers of literature and art continue to pay attention, contribute their efforts and intelligence, and learn about the beauty of Thanh Dong land and people, Dong Hai Duong. Continue to work creatively to create many good works, accompany Hai Duong city in the process of socio-economic development and preservation and promotion of traditional cultural values...
According to the organizers, the works participating in the contests all show the unique features of history, culture, economy, politics and society of Hai Duong City. Through the works, they have contributed to propagating, introducing and promoting the people and development potential of Hai Duong City to people inside and outside the province; at the same time serving the political, economic tasks and cultural and social events of the city.
The organizing committee of the art creation contests about Hai Duong city has selected 8 sculptures with the theme of "friendly, safe" to be installed on the grass of Bach Dang street to connect with the walking street, contributing to creating more highlights for the urban landscape. At the same time, 51 works of the photo contest, 32 winning works of the song contest and winning works of the writing contest and sculpture contest were selected to be displayed at the Xu Dong Cultural Center on October 17-18, 2024.
At the conference, Hai Duong City People's Committee awarded the title "Outstanding Citizen" to 16 individuals and commended 22 typical individuals in the movement "Thanh Dong People - Good words, good actions".
The individuals honored and commended are exemplary people with good political qualities, healthy lifestyle ethics, and exemplary individuals and their families in implementing the Party's policies and guidelines and the State's laws and policies, regulations of localities, agencies, and units...
On May 18, 2023, the People's Committee, the City Fatherland Front Committee and the Organizing Committee of the art composition contests about Hai Duong City launched an emulation movement and 4 art composition contests about Hai Duong City, including: Composing songs about Hai Duong City, writing contest "Hai Duong - The City I Love", photo contest and art photo exhibition and creating model sculptures associated with the urban space of Hai Duong City, civilized, friendly and safe.
The contests were widely implemented in the province and other provinces and cities across the country. As a result, there were nearly 11,000 entries from authors inside and outside the province. The organizing committee selected 47 outstanding works to award prizes.
Specifically, there were 10 works winning the songwriting contest about Hai Duong City, including 2 second prizes, 3 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes. The writing contest “Hai Duong - The City I Love” had 11 works winning the prize, including 1 second prize, 3 third prizes, 6 consolation prizes and 1 prize for the work most loved by readers.
The photo contest and art photo exhibition had 15 winning works, including 3 second prizes, 5 third prizes and 7 consolation prizes. The contest to create sculpture models associated with the urban space of Hai Duong city, a cultured, friendly and safe city, had 11 winning works, including 1 second prize, 1 third prize and 9 consolation prizes.
