BNEWS This is the fourth time that the Asia Records Organization has announced new Asian Records for Vietnamese cuisine and specialties after 2012, 2013 and 2022 with nominations from the Vietnam Records Organization (VietKings).
After a period of synthesizing and establishing nomination dossiers, the Asia Record Organization has just officially decided to establish 10 new Asian records for Vietnamese cuisine and specialty gifts according to the criteria set for Asian Cuisine and Specialty Records in 2023.
This is the fourth time the Asia Records Organization has announced new Asian records for Vietnamese cuisine and specialties after 2012, 2013 and 2022 with the nomination of VietKings.
Specifically, the 10 new Asian records for Vietnamese cuisine and specialty gifts include 5 specialties: Saigon bread (Ho Chi Minh City), mussel rice (Thua Thien Hue), Phan Thiet hotpot (Binh Thuan), Ninh Hoa grilled spring rolls (Khanh Hoa), and vermicelli soup (Soc Trang).
Along with that, 5 natural specialties and gift specialties include: Com Lang Vong (Hanoi city); Sweet potato (Quang Binh), Se Canh (Thua Thien Hue), Da Lat strawberry (Lam Dong), Tra Cuon Tet cake (Tra Vinh).
According to VietKings representative, the journey to search for and promote the special values of Vietnam, especially the value of cuisine and specialties, has been carried out by the unit for the past 13 years (from 2010 to present), with the mission of "Bringing the quintessence of Vietnam in general and the quintessence of Vietnamese culinary specialties in particular to the world".
Based on the Top culinary specialties of 63 provinces and cities in Vietnam announced in 2021 - 2022, along with nominations from localities across the country, VietKings has continued to make nomination documents to the Asian Record Organization for recognition.
After the selection process, 10 nominations were decided to be announced by the Asian Record Organization, according to the criteria of Asian culinary and specialty records, increasing the number of records of Vietnamese culinary and specialty gifts achieving Asian records to 60 dishes from 2012 to 2023, including 38 specialty dishes, 22 natural specialties and specialty gifts from localities.
In the coming time, VietKings will continue to nominate outstanding values of Vietnam in many other fields, in order to comprehensively promote the image of the country and people of Vietnam to friends around the world.
