The Chairman of the People's Committee of Yen Bai province requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to continue to closely monitor weather forecasts from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, Yen Bai Hydro-Meteorological Station, and the mass media to have appropriate plans and response measures to minimize damage caused by natural disasters.
Localities continue to review households living in affected areas, at risk of being affected by landslides, flash floods, and inundation to have timely evacuation plans.
Along with that, resolutely direct the evacuation plan, moving households and individuals living in dangerous areas, areas at risk of landslides, flash floods, and inundation to safe places.
The Provincial Hydrometeorological Station closely monitors the weather situation, promptly issues forecasts and warnings, and provides information to the Department of Information and Communications, Yen Bai Newspaper, the Provincial Radio and Television Station, and the Standing Office of the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue to promptly inform the response work of the Provincial People's Committee, the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control and Search and Rescue, district and commune levels, and the people.

The natural disaster affected all 9 districts, towns and cities of the province, killing 29 people, injuring 13 people and leaving 5 people missing.
