On April 22, according to news from Hanoi City Police, the city's police force has just discovered a number of advertisements posted on social networking sites about working in Canada or Germany.

According to the introduction, workers in need will send information to the company along with a deposit of about 3,000 USD to complete the paperwork.

After that, the recruiting unit will have an invitation letter and require people to pay from 16,000 USD to 24,000 USD, of which at least half of the above amount must be paid in Vietnam. When the worker arrives in Canada, the remaining amount will be completed.

The recruiting unit also conducted interviews with workers via zoom with the Vietnamese "boss" in Canada.

Hanoi City Police believe that this may be a professional labor export fraud ring.

Through investigation, the authorities found that these units did not have operating licenses; did not have the function of exporting labor but still received money from workers and showed signs of falsifying documents to send workers to work in Canada.

When workers follow the above form, there will be no company to guarantee or take responsibility for protecting their rights, so they will suffer many disadvantages.

To create trust among people, recruitment companies also embellish or entice workers with information that "go on a tour first and then someone will introduce a job," with the main jobs being nail work or agriculture.

Hanoi City Police recommend that when meeting companies advertising to introduce people to the Canadian labor market through labor export, people need to be vigilant to avoid falling into the trap of scammers.
