The accident at Han Bridge (Hai Duong City) caused 2 casualties due to the car driver overtaking in violation of regulations.

Previously, at 8:45 a.m. on May 24, Mr. NVH, born in 1993 in Minh Phuong commune, Tien Lu district (Hung Yen), drove a tractor-trailer on provincial road 390D from National Highway 5 to Nam Sach. When reaching the Han bridge area at km 0+800, this car collided with a motorbike in the same direction driven by Mr. NVK, born in 1978 (permanent residence in Tan Quang commune), carrying Mr. BVĐ. born in 1982 (permanent residence in Tan Phong commune, Ninh Giang district). As a result, Mr. K. died at the scene. Mr. D. suffered a broken left femur and is being treated at Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi). The motorbike was damaged.

The results of the alcohol and drug tests for the tractor-trailer driver were all negative. The preliminary cause of the traffic accident was that Mr. NVH was driving the car and overtaking another vehicle in violation of regulations.
