Head of the Central External Relations Commission Le Hoai Trung affirmed the high regard and top priority of the Vietnamese Party and State for the Vietnam-China relationship.
On the morning of December 2, at the headquarters of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission, had a meeting with Mr. Wang Yi, Politburo member, Director of the Office of the Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, who is visiting and working in Vietnam and co-chairing the 15th meeting of the Steering Committee for Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation.
The two sides expressed their joy and appreciation for the positive results in the relationship between the two parties and countries, especially the important achievements in the 15 years since the two countries established the Comprehensive Strategic Cooperative Partnership and after General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's visit to China in October 2022.
Highlighting the significance of the traditional friendship between the two Parties and countries and the achievements of cooperation for the benefit of the people of the two countries, Mr. Le Hoai Trung affirmed the high regard and top priority of the Party and State of Vietnam for the Vietnam-China relationship; emphasizing the significance of the long-term strategic orientation of the relationship between the two Parties and the highest leadership of the two Parties for the development of the relationship between the two countries in the new period.
Mr. Wang Yi affirmed that the Party, State and people of China attach great importance to the friendly neighborly relations and comprehensive cooperation with the Party, State and people of Vietnam, considering developing relations with Vietnam a priority direction in China's neighborly foreign policy; believing that with the guidance of the top leaders, the two sides will overcome all challenges, promote the development of each country's cause, contribute to the world socialist movement, and contribute to peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region and the world.
The two sides discussed and agreed on many measures to effectively implement high-level common perceptions and continuously deepen the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
