The Hai Duong Department of Transport has just requested the People's Committee and police forces of Binh Giang and Cam Giang districts to strictly handle overloaded vehicles crossing Cay Bridge during rush hour to protect the safety of the project.
Through inspection and monitoring, the authorities discovered that there were still cases of material trucks, trailers, and concrete trucks exceeding the permitted load capacity passing through Cay Bridge on Provincial Road 394 during rush hour, posing a potential risk to construction safety and traffic safety.
The Department of Transport requested the police of Binh Giang and Cam Giang districts to increase patrols and controls, and resolutely handle violations according to their authority.
The People's Committees of Binh Giang and Cam Giang districts direct and take measures to manage contractors transporting materials for construction projects and enterprises operating in the district to ensure that they do not violate regulations on vehicle load and the load of the Cay bridge on provincial road 394.
Cay Bridge at km8+630 on Provincial Road 394 connecting Long Xuyen Commune (Binh Giang) and Cam Dong Commune (Cam Giang) has a bridge surface width of 4 m, was built a long time ago, and is now degraded. There are load limit signs at both ends of the bridge (allowable operating load is up to 19 tons for monocoque vehicles, 31 tons for trailers and 39 tons for monocoque vehicles pulling trailers). At the same time, vehicles with a load of 7 tons or more are restricted from crossing the bridge during rush hours (6:30 - 7:30; 16:30 - 18:00).
