"This year's Valentine's Day is like every other year, we go out to eat and watch movies. In addition, every 1-2 years, we will make a photo album of the two of us because taking photos is our passion and destiny," Huyen shared. After 6 years of being together, they now have 4 albums for their love story. And in the corner of Huyen's room, there are also small, pretty photos of the two of us.

Cinemas are often a dating spot for couples like Huyen and Duong. Valentine’s Day falls in the middle of the week this year, so many couples have chosen to go to the cinema a few days earlier. Last weekend, some cinemas in Hai Duong City had twice as many customers as usual, mostly couples.

Having known each other since high school, for more than 10 years now, Ms. Phuong Hoa and Mr. Trung Duc in Hai Duong City have officially moved in together at the end of last year. The first Valentine's gift when becoming husband and wife was an angel growing in Ms. Hoa's belly. Duc's first Valentine's gift to Hoa when they first fell in love was a tank model made from bullet shells - a typical gift for military cadets.

"My husband was a military cadet before, so we didn't get to celebrate Valentine's Day together when we were students. I often received gifts sent by post from him on this day. But for me, just hearing his voice on the phone back then was enough to make me happy," Ms. Hoa shared. Ms. Hong Anh's crocheted rose bouquets were ordered by customers before Valentine's Day.

Many young people today also tend to make gifts for their other half, so special handmade gifts have been born. Ms. Hong Anh in Nam Sach district crocheted a wallet for her husband. Married for 5 years, with 2 little angels, every Valentine's Day her husband gives her gifts such as chocolate, roses or simply transfers money to his wife's account. But this year, she decided to crochet and give her husband a wallet. "Crocheting has been my hobby for a long time, seeing that my husband's wallet was old, I wanted to give him this gift, so that he would always carry it with him and remember me," Ms. Hong Anh shared.

Valentine's Day is not only an occasion for men to give gifts to women, but women can also give gifts to their men like Ms. Hong Anh did.

Not only does Ms. Hong Anh crochet wool to give to her husband, many customers also order handmade rose bouquets made of wool because they can be kept for a long time. Handmade gifts such as scented candles, wax roses, essential oils... are also given by many young people to each other on Valentine's Day this year, showing the delicate soul and deep care of the giver.
