“To make the designer bag cakes, I was inspired by real bags from shape to size. These designer bag cakes are first to satisfy my passion for conquering difficult cake designs. Second, I want to share my passion and experience with people who have the same interests,” To Van said.
Unique cake
According to Ms. Van, it takes about 6-8 hours to make branded bag cakes.
“Choosing the ingredients to make the cake is very important. The cake base inside must be strong enough to create a beautiful bag shape. I chose a slightly bitter chocolate cake base, covered with a layer of cool, sweet butter cream on the outside. Next, I used chocolate Ganache to smooth out the bag shape. Finally, I rolled out a layer of Fondant sugar to cover the entire surface of the cake. All the ingredients on the cake are edible and safe for health,” To Van shared.
However, Ms. Van thinks that making this type of cake is not too complicated, just need to be persistent and hard-working, after a few times you will get used to it, make it faster and more beautiful.
In addition to the bag-shaped cake, Ms. To Van also makes many other shaped cakes such as: instant noodle bowl shaped cake, orchid pot shaped cake, cactus pot shaped cake, pet shaped cake...
Other creative cake products of Ms. Van
Each of Ms. Van’s branded bag cakes currently costs 4-6 million VND, many times more expensive than regular cakes. Her cakes are often bought as gifts by customers with a bit more money.
Five years ago, Ms. Van worked as a manager for her family's private company. In addition to her administrative work, she took advantage of her evenings and free time to prepare ingredients. Having loved baking since she first started making moon cakes, Ms. To Van has been constantly learning every day to improve her skills.
Thanks to that, she had her first products and received a lot of encouragement from her relatives and friends. From then on, she decided to choose baking, handing over the company to her husband to manage. She wanted to devote all her thoughts, feelings, and time to the work she loved. Only then would her products be beautiful, soulful, and she would have more time to experience and try interesting things.
