76-year-old woman is heartbroken after missing out on a chance to change her life.

Mildred Simoneriluto (76 years old, living in Pennsylvania, USA) will lose the right to receive the $2.5 million lottery jackpot prize (about 68 billion VND) in 1 month, exactly on May 8. However, until now, she still cannot know where her winning lottery ticket is traveling.

Almost a year ago, in May 2024, after buying the lottery ticket, she put it in the pocket of her denim jacket, thinking that doing so would definitely make sure she wouldn’t forget. However, she absentmindedly donated the jacket to Goodwill along with some other items.

Goodwill donated all of the items to the Veterans Administration, which then shipped the items to Pickup Please, a shipping company, all over the world. The jacket with the winning lottery ticket worth tens of billions of dollars could be anywhere.

Mildred contacted the American Veterans Administration for help, but the coat and thousands of other items had been distributed around the world and were difficult to find.

Mildred appealed her special case, but the Pennsylvania Lottery refused to award the prize until she returned the ticket.

Mildred returned to the convenience store where she bought the ticket, hoping they could help, but no one could offer any viable solutions.

Before May 8, anyone who brought a ticket with the winning numbers 14, 22, 33, 35, 38 to an agent could redeem their prize. Mildred was worried about losing her prize but still hoped that she would somehow find her ticket.
