Cam Giang District Youth Union (Hai Duong) deployed 4 "Green Sundays" in Youth Month 2024 (March) to focus on caring for and beautifying the landscape at a number of historical sites in the district.
Specifically, "Green Sunday" is held on March 10, 17, 24 and 31, 2024. Cam Giang District Youth Union mobilized youth volunteers to participate in on-site activities to contribute to preserving and promoting cultural values in the district. Over 200 youth volunteers from high schools, the district's Vocational Education and Continuing Education Center; Youth Unions from the communes of Cam Dien, Dinh Son, Cam Van, Cam Vu, Ngoc Lien participated at the special national relics of Mao Dien Temple of Literature, Bia Temple, Xua Temple, Giam Pagoda and the relic site where the first Party cell of the district was established. The youth volunteers participated in cleaning the campus, protecting security and order; planting and taking care of medicinal herbs and trees; instructing people and tourists to classify and dispose of garbage in the right place; and doing business in the right place at the relic sites.
The Youth Union bases in the district also promote propaganda and education to raise awareness and consciousness of environmental protection for the people, especially young people and children, on the radio system, broadcasting, Zalo, Facebook, fanpage of the Youth Union and the locality, integrated into the activities of the Youth Union branches. The content of propaganda and education is about awareness of maintaining public hygiene, regulations on protecting the landscape of historical relics... The Youth Union organizations encourage members to reflect, provide images and clips of violations of general regulations at relic sites for timely correction, and at the same time actively spread the example of good people, good deeds, and good actions in protecting the environment, culture, and civilization.
The District Youth Union donated a sports facility to Bang Quan village, Dinh Son commune worth 20 million VND; coordinated with the Women's Union of Cam Giang district to donate 80 Taiwan banyan trees worth 40 million VND to plant youth trees on the An Dien-Phu Quan inter-village road; donated IMO bio-fermentation tanks and instructed union members to classify and treat household waste at the source.
