In the joyful and exciting atmosphere of the first days of the new year, commemorating the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the 66th anniversary of Uncle Ho's launching of the Tree Planting Festival (1959 -2025), implementing the Prime Minister's Project "Planting one billion trees in the period 2021-2025", on the morning of February 5, in My Hao town, Hung Yen province, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province held the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival "Forever grateful to Uncle Ho" in the spring of At Ty 2025.

Accompanying the General Secretary were Politburo members, Party Central Committee Secretaries: Head of the Central Organization Commission Le Minh Hung, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien, Head of the Central Inspection Commission Nguyen Duy Ngoc; comrades: General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Le Hoai Trung, Party Central Committee Secretary, Chief of the Party Central Office; Le Thanh Long, Party Central Committee member, Deputy Prime Minister; leaders of the Party Central Office, the General Secretary's Office, leaders of a number of central and local ministries, departments and branches.

On November 28, 1959, President Ho Chi Minh launched the Tet Tree Planting Day. Since then, the Tet Tree Planting Day has become a widespread mass movement, a beautiful feature of Vietnamese traditional culture.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van emphasized the great role and significance in many aspects of the people's tree planting work. Every year, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hung Yen province organize the launching ceremony of the Spring Tree Planting Festival. The province issued Plan No. 168/KH-UBND dated November 8, 2021, directing localities to plant trees according to the plan, mobilizing all people and the business community to participate.

From 2022 to present, the whole province has planted 126,633 trees (exceeding 173.5% of the plan), of which 38,404 trees were planted in 2024 (exceeding 160% of the plan); 185 new tree-lined roads have been formed; urban areas, industrial parks and clusters, rural residential areas, schools, hospitals, agency headquarters, historical-cultural relics have all actively and well implemented tree planting. The total budget for tree planting for the people in the whole province to date is 92.6 billion VND.

Along with planting trees for the people, areas with crop structure conversion are also planted with a concentrated type of tree to create a highlight, green-clean-beautiful landscape, contributing significantly to protecting the ecological environment, and enhancing economic value in agricultural production.

At the launching ceremony of the Tree Planting Festival, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Quoc Van requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, organizations, agencies, units, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to continue to effectively implement Plan No. 168/KH-UBND dated November 8, 2021 of the province, plant trees according to the plan, each street only plants one type of tree, promote extensive propaganda in many forms to the masses, the business community about the purpose and meaning of the Tree Planting Festival; about the role, great effects, comprehensive and long-term benefits, humanistic values ​​of planting and protecting trees; deploy tree planting in accordance with the conditions of each locality and unit to ensure practicality and effectiveness.

The province strives to cover all traffic routes in the province with trees and ensure that the new rural standards are met at the commune, district and provincial levels in the coming time.
