This is one of the directions of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Quan at the conference summarizing banking activities in 2022 organized by the State Bank of the province on the morning of January 11.

Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Quan requested that in 2023, the banking sector of the whole province perform well its leading role, actively promote non-cash payments, review, evaluate, and select appropriate information technology solutions in electronic payments. Continue to do a good job of mobilizing idle capital, effectively expanding credit, focusing credit capital to serve the development of priority industries and sectors; strictly comply with mechanisms and policies on credit, interest rates, exchange rates, well implement the restructuring plan and handle bad debts, minimize overdue debts and arising bad debts. Continue to coordinate with departments, branches, and localities to implement measures to remove difficulties for households and businesses, maintain and promote the program of connecting banks and businesses, and unblock capital flows; continue to do a good job of social security.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the province will request localities and relevant agencies to actively coordinate with the banking sector to promote electronic transaction channels, digital transformation as well as promptly support difficulties and obstacles to accelerate the implementation of the 2% interest rate support program.

According to the report of the State Bank of the province, as of December 31, 2022, the total mobilized capital of the entire banking industry was more than 164,300 billion VND, an increase of 8.1% compared to the end of 2021. Total outstanding loans were nearly 123,020 billion VND, an increase of 15.4% compared to the end of 2021. The credit structure continued to shift in a positive direction, focusing on priority industries and sectors such as rural agriculture, small and medium enterprises, supporting industries, and exports. Outstanding loans for agriculture and rural development are VND 50,300 billion, accounting for 41% of total outstanding loans, up 10.8% compared to the end of 2021, outstanding loans for small and medium enterprises are VND 22,300 billion, up 16.7%, loans for export are VND 3,820 billion, up 8.5%, loans for supporting industries are VND 4,970 billion, up 29.9%. Credit quality is guaranteed, the bad debt ratio accounts for 0.74% of total outstanding loans.

In 2023, the banking industry in the province strives to increase capital mobilization by 7%, credit balance growth by 10%, and bad debt ratio below 2% of total outstanding debt.
