Blatant trick

The Department of Internal Security (Hai Duong Provincial Police) is the first unit in the country to discover the tricks of the organization 'Vietnam Bronze Drum Original Energy' (abbreviated as NLG or NLG Energy University).

Under the strong direction of the Hai Duong Provincial Police Department, the Internal Security Department investigated and determined that NLG was established in the US by Le Van Phuc, an American citizen, born on August 15, 1956, from Nhon Trach district (Dong Nai).

Phuc believes that in the universe there is an energy source called "original energy", if humans receive it, it will upgrade the frequency of brain activity, stimulate stem cell activity, help improve physical and mental health and solve problems related to health, food, poverty, war...

Phuc also believes that he is the one chosen by "Mr. NLG" to receive that energy source to spread to the Vietnamese people and humanity.

Anyone who wants to receive the energy must attend 5 levels of classes and specialized courses taught by Phuc in person or online.

To bring NLG into Vietnam, Phuc and his accomplices used many sophisticated methods and tricks to attract participants; connected and contacted a number of domestic units to introduce, research, and organize the reception of 5 levels of NLG classes.

For grades 1, 2 and 3, followers receive online by looking at Phuc's forehead through a phone screen or other recording devices. For grades 4 and 5, followers receive directly from Phuc in classes abroad.

Tran Van Phuc printed and distributed documents and items about NLG to promote and attract people to participate in NLG.

Phuc established front companies; created websites, fanpages, Zalo, Telegram, YouTube groups...; printed and distributed documents and items about NLG to propagate and attract participants; established Representative Boards and Service Boards to manage activities in Vietnam; organized for followers to leave the country to directly attend classes.

In online lecture videos and propaganda materials, Phuc also shares and mentions superstitious information: There is an invisible spiritual world that accompanies each person's life; spiritual forces have karma, karmic consequences, illness, poverty, war...

Phuc even blatantly distorted the achievements of generations of Vietnamese people in the struggle to protect the Fatherland. He believed that the wars in Vietnam were the fault of our ancestors. He also spread reactionary ideas to students such as: Insulting the national flag, claiming that "the star on the Vietnamese national flag must be changed for the country to prosper"; brazenly turning the five-pointed star upside down and printing it on the NLG logo...

Tens of thousands of victims 'fall into the trap'

Hai Duong police determined that in Vietnam, the subjects operated in many provinces and cities and mainly in cyberspace. There was one subject in Hai Duong who linked up and connected with two subjects in Nam Dinh and Vinh Phuc to operate and attracted over 35,000 people in the provinces and cities to participate.

A textbook of NLG by Le Van Phuc was confiscated by the Internal Security Department of Hai Duong Province Police.

In Hai Duong, NLG appeared at the end of 2020. The subjects set up 8 Zalo groups with about 5,000 members, 1 YouTube channel with over 34,000 subscribers, 1 Facebook group with over 16,000 members to spread information about NLG. At the same time, they guided and supported the collection and payment of tuition fees on behalf of participants, notified departure times, and arranged transportation.

Despite the nonsense, superstition, and untrue information, NLG still makes many people misunderstand and believe that the NLG practice taught by Le Van Phuc can cure diseases, including cancer. Many people pay money for NLG activities, go abroad to attend direct classes in Thailand, Malaysia, and the US.

Initial results determined that 96 people in Hai Duong had paid 2.5 billion VND to the subjects.

According to the Department of Internal Security (Hai Duong Provincial Police), NLG takes advantage of psychological effects, therapy, and beliefs; takes advantage of the philosophies and teachings of some religions and folk beliefs to force participants to believe in what the group propagates. Many patients develop the mentality that they do not need to go to medical facilities for treatment or have passed the "golden time" for treatment.

Based on the investigation results of Hai Duong Provincial Police, the Ministry of Health, the Government Committee for Religious Affairs and a number of functional agencies, it was concluded that the actions of Le Van Phuc and NLG violated the law.

The Investigation Police Agency of Hai Duong Province Police has initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and proposed to prosecute 3 key subjects in NLG for the crime of illegally providing or using information on computer networks and telecommunications networks. The police force continues to consolidate evidence to handle related subjects.

People need to be vigilant against the activities of NLG and other organizations that show signs of heresy. People need to promptly report any acts of taking advantage of religious freedom to commit fraud and violate the law.

From 2022 to present, Le Van Phuc and his key staff have organized many direct classes abroad; attracted thousands of Vietnamese people to go abroad to study, each class collected from 500 - 2,600 USD/person; it is estimated that Phuc has collected more than 10 million USD in the form of tuition fees.
