According to Mr. Duong, to have a standard bird, the breeder must take care of it for about 2 years. However, raising and caring for this type of bird is not too difficult, just need a cage space large enough for the bird's feathers to grow naturally, reaching a beautiful length without getting tangled or broken because of the narrow ceiling of the cage.

Food for this type of bird is also very popular on the market, you can use small chicken bran, bird bran and supplement with green vegetables.Compared to small ornamental birds, the 7-color pheasant does not require much care, is healthy, develops evenly and has good reproductive capacity. Currently on the market, the price of 7-color pheasants is fluctuating between 4-5 million VND/pair of male and female. There are some beautiful, unique pairs that can cost up to tens of millions of VND, but these pairs usually have a dominant blue color tone.

Mr. Duong, as well as many other traders of 7-color pheasants, said that this type of bird has been out of stock since the beginning of December (Lunar calendar). From around the 10th onwards, customers who want to buy it, no matter how high the price, cannot buy it because at that time there is no stock to sell.

In addition to 7-color pheasants, Mr. Duong also sells many other types of ornamental birds such as peacocks, pheasants, etc. This 2024 Tet season, revenue from pheasants alone has reached hundreds of millions of dong.
