On the afternoon of June 17, the Culture - Social Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial People's Council began a thematic supervision of the current status of grassroots cultural and sports institutions in the province in the period of 2021 - 2024. The supervision delegation conducted a direct survey at a number of cultural and sports institutions in Thanh Mien district.
According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, along with Thanh Mien district, the whole Hai Duong province, Tu Ky and Gia Loc districts and Hai Duong city do not have multi-purpose gymnasiums or training facilities.

Localities have only one central cultural house, which is integrated with meetings and other activities, leading to many overlapping activities; preparations for activities encounter many difficulties. Meanwhile, funding for organizing cultural and sports activities is limited.
