Many outdoor enthusiasts affirm that Ban Gioc waterfall is most majestic and beautiful during the rice harvest season, around September and October. At this time, the scenery and water of Trung Khanh are gentle and clear, and visitors can immerse themselves in the cool water.

Ban Gioc Waterfall is located in Dam Thuy Commune, Trung Khanh District (Cao Bang Province) on the border between Vietnam and China. The waterfall has long been famous as one of the most beautiful natural waterfalls in Vietnam, ranked in the top 10 most magnificent waterfalls in the world.

Each season of Ban Gioc waterfall has its own beauty, no season is the same as another. Coming to the most famous place in Cao Bang province, many tourist groups often buy tickets to take a boat trip around the foot of the waterfall.

Many mobile vendors go around to welcome tourists. They mainly sell drinks and snacks to those traveling by boat. Every year, in early October, Cao Bang people often organize the Ban Gioc Waterfall Festival. If you have the opportunity to come here at this time, in addition to admiring the waterfall, visitors also have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a very special festival atmosphere.

Among them are the water procession to pray for national peace and prosperity, cultural activities, arts, folk sports, folk games such as pushing sticks, weeding, blindfolded duck catching, throwing shuttlecocks, rafting on Quay Son river, visiting booths displaying special products of Trung Khanh province and district.

Ban Gioc Waterfall is nearly 90km from Cao Bang City, 53m high, divided into 3 levels and has 2 streams, of which the main waterfall is the widest and highest, located on the border between Vietnam and China.

Here, large volumes of water fall down creating white foam, surrounded by many beautiful limestone steps covered with green moss. Tourist boats can comfortably approach the foot of the waterfall. In many sections, visitors can wade down and bathe freely in the cool water from the flowing stream.
