In the quarterfinals, table tennis player Nguyen Duc Tuan of Hai Duong and his national team teammate Nguyen Anh Tu excellently defeated two Thai players - Phakpoom Sanguansin and Padasak.
Nguyen Duc Tuan will have an internal semi-final match with his national team teammate Nguyen Anh Tu.
The two Vietnamese players will be forced to eliminate each other in the semi-finals and certainly the Vietnamese table tennis team will have at least 1 silver medal.
