The taxi driver was identified as Mr. HXL (44 years old, residing in Ward 6, Da Lat City).
At noon on November 28, Mr. L. drove a taxi carrying a family of tourists from Hanoi. Among them was a 1-year-old child. The taxi was on its way to a coffee shop in Ta Nung commune, Da Lat city.
As the taxi approached the coffee shop, it suddenly changed direction, hit the curb, and flipped over. The incident killed the child and seriously injured the driver and the tourist couple.
On the same afternoon, Mr. Vo Ngoc Trinh, Vice Chairman of Da Lat City People's Committee, visited the family of the tourist in the accident at the hospital.
Representatives of Da Lat City People's Committee also supported 35 million VND for the tourist's family to cover treatment costs and funeral expenses for the child.
