Hanoi Trade Union gives gifts on Tet holiday

On December 11, the Hanoi Labor Federation announced that it had planned the 2024 Tet Sum Vay Program. The program will be organized before February 4, 2024, which is the 25th day of the 12th lunar month.

During the program, workers and laborers were given gifts, bus tickets, support for Trade Union shelters, lucky draws, etc.

The Hanoi Labor Federation is also expected to organize a Trade Union Tet Market on December 16 and 17, with 80 discount booths and "zero-dong" booths selling essential items for workers.

This Lunar New Year market also gave away 7,800 vouchers to disadvantaged workers.

The union also selected workers in difficult circumstances to receive cash gifts, a Tet gift bag worth 350,000 VND, a voucher to shop at the Tet market worth 500,000 VND and a lucky draw ticket.

Before the Lunar New Year 2024, trade unions at all levels plan to inspect and supervise businesses paying salaries and bonuses to workers, and at the same time have solutions to support workers in units facing difficulties, unpaid salaries, unable to pay bonuses, or whose owners have fled, dissolved, or gone bankrupt.

In addition, the Union also strengthens dialogue and negotiation with businesses to care for the material and spiritual life of workers, thereby limiting labor disputes and collective work stoppages.

It is expected that the Hanoi Labor Federation will support about 30 buses to take 5,000 workers in industrial parks in the area to their hometowns and return after the Lunar New Year. Workers in remote provinces that will benefit include Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Thanh Hoa, Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Lao Cai, Lang Son, etc.
