70 works displayed in the exhibition "Road to Dien Bien" bring to the public heroic and emotional perspectives on the historic Dien Bien Phu Campaign.
The exhibition "Road to Dien Bien" opens from April 26 to May 15 at the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory. The exhibition introduces 70 paintings, graphics, sculptures, sketches, posters, created in the period 1949 - 2009 by 34 authors, selected from the Museum's collection.
The exhibition brings many heroic emotions to viewers through reflective topics, from the examples of heroic fighters and sacrifices, the logistics work for the campaign, the close relationship between the army and the people...
The Dien Bien Phu victory is a beautiful symbol of indomitable will, examples of self-sacrifice for the victory of the nation. They are heroic soldiers who sacrificed themselves in battle, expressed with gratitude and admiration by authors such as To Vinh Dien, Be Van Dan...
In addition to the direct display, 70 drawings are applied cinemagraph technology, bringing a new approach, attracting the public. Coming to the exhibition, the public has the opportunity to learn about history from an artistic perspective, through realistic sketches.
At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Dr. Nguyen Anh Minh, Director of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum affirmed: “The exhibition Road to Dien Bien is an opportunity to educate today’s and future generations about patriotism, the will to fight and win, and the spirit of the strength of the great national unity bloc. This is also an opportunity for each of us to express our gratitude and remember the generations of our ancestors who fought and sacrificed to contribute to the great Dien Bien Phu victory that resounded throughout the five continents and shook the world.”
The exhibition is open from April 26 to May 15 on the 1st floor of Building B, Vietnam Fine Arts Museum, 66 Nguyen Thai Hoc, Ba Dinh, Hanoi.
