In 2024, the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) strives to advise on raising the social allowance standard to 500,000 or 750,000 VND, with the minimum standard equal to 50% of poor rural households.

This is one of the key tasks of the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs in 2024, which Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs Dao Ngoc Dung urged to urgently amend Decree 20, increasing the support level for social protection beneficiaries. Because currently, the social assistance level of only 360,000 VND/month is very low.

In addition to urging the urgent revision of Decree 20 and increasing the level of support for social protection beneficiaries, Minister Dao Ngoc Dung requested a high level of focus on labor, employment, and labor market development. With this content, many tasks need to be done related to Vietnamese workers working abroad, foreign workers working in Vietnam, building labor supply and demand, vocational education associated with employment, etc.

The Minister said that it is necessary to promote and innovate to improve the quality of vocational education. This is the key content with the goal of building a flexible, synchronous, modern and integrated labor market. In particular, focusing on high-quality human resources, human resources in new industries such as chips, semiconductors, hydrogen, carbon credits, etc.

"If not updated quickly and regularly, vocational education will be left out of the game," said Minister Dao Ngoc Dung.
