Broken or uprooted trees can be pruned, replanted or brought back to a nursery and root stimulant used to restore them.

To overcome the consequences of storm No. 3, the Department of Construction requested the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to review and report on the number and types of urban trees that have been broken or fallen in the area. Through the review, it is necessary to evaluate and propose tree species that are less affected by storms as a basis for proposing adjustments to the list of trees encouraged to be planted in urban areas under their management.

Based on the results of the review and statistics of the number and types of fallen trees, the People's Committees of districts, towns and cities have plans to select suitable tree species to replace the fallen trees. In particular, it is necessary to note that there are solutions to make the most of fallen and uprooted trees (can be pruned, replanted or brought back to the place for planting, using root stimulants to restore the trees).

For trees that cannot be reused, they must be promptly cut down according to Clause 3, Article 14, Decree 64/2010/ND-CP dated June 11, 2010 of the Government; in the case of trees with trunks and trees of economic value, there must be a solution to handle and recover assets to ensure the regulations on handling public assets.
