Ronaldo scores to send Al Nassr into AFC Champions League quarter-finals

Cristiano Ronaldo continues to show his ability to compete in the Champions League, whether in Asia or Europe. The Portuguese superstar scored again to help Al Nassr reach the quarter-finals.

In the 9th minute of the match against Al Feiha, Ronaldo escaped after a pass from his teammate and was pushed down by 2 opposing players. Slow-motion video shows that both defenders of the away team grabbed the Portuguese superstar's arms. However, both referee Ma Ning and the VAR team refused to award Al Nassr a penalty.

In the first half's extra time, Ma Ning decisively showed Ronaldo a yellow card after an unclear collision near the touchline. The Chinese referee's decision made CR7 angry. Coach Luis Casto also ran over, complained and also received a yellow card.

Ronaldo continued to play with great effort. He had a shot that hit the crossbar in the first half, a situation of running, shooting diagonally into the net of Al Feiha but was denied for offside.

Al Nassr eventually won 3-0 against Al Feiha to advance to the AFC Champions League quarter-finals. Ronaldo and his teammates' next opponents are Al Ain, a club from the UAE. If they reach the semi-finals, Al Nassr could face another Saudi Arabian opponent, Al Hilal (Neymar's club) or Al Ittihad (Karim Benzema's club).
