Bustling fields in winter-spring crop

Farmers in the province went to the fields in the first days of spring with the hope of a bountiful harvest.

According to the crop calendar, farmers in the province plant early spring tea from February 1-10 and late spring tea from February 10-28. Therefore, from the first days of spring, farmers have gone to the fields to prepare for the new crop with the hope of a bumper crop.

This winter-spring crop, the province plans to cultivate 54,350 hectares of rice and 10,000 hectares of various vegetables. The agricultural sector strives for a rice yield of 65 quintals/ha; maintain and sustain the quality of vegetable areas according to VietGAP and GlobalGAP standards.


According to the Irrigation Department, by January 26, the whole province had flooded more than 25,000 hectares, reaching nearly 50% of the cultivated area.
