When a fire broke out at a gas station in Hai Duong city, the forces quickly deployed fire fighting, rescue and relief plans, including fire fighting robots, and quickly handled the situation.
On the morning of June 27, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) coordinated with Hai Duong Petroleum Company to practice fire fighting and rescue at Petrolimex - store No. 4 on Ngo Quyen Street, Tan Binh Ward (Hai Duong City).
Upon receiving the news, the on-site forces of the company, the ward, and the city police immediately came to coordinate in extinguishing the fire. Along with that, the professional fire fighting force of the provincial police dispatched 25 officers and soldiers, 1 command vehicle, 3 fire trucks, 1 vehicle carrying a fire fighting robot, 1 ambulance with full fire fighting equipment and tools to the scene.
After a period of urgent, continuous and effective firefighting coordination by all forces, the fire was completely extinguished, preventing it from spreading.
The practice situation was at around 8:30 a.m. on June 27, store No. 4 was loading goods. When the tanker truck arrived to put Ron 95 gasoline into the tank, an accident occurred, causing about 150 liters of gasoline to spill out. The gasoline spread over an area of 30 square meters on the concrete floor.2. Then, due to a problem with the tanker's electrical system, a spark caused a fire. The fire spread, threatening to spread to other areas and exceeding the firefighting capacity of the facility. During the firefighting, one company employee was injured.
To handle the above situation, the store manager asked the driver to close the truck's exhaust valve and ordered the store staff to stop receiving and selling goods and cut off the electricity to the entire store area, implementing a plan to respond to the gasoline spill. The store manager called the leaders of Hai Duong Petroleum Company, the fire department, Tan Binh Ward People's Committee and several other stores to come and support. When the fire was beyond control, the store asked for professional fire fighting forces from the Provincial Police to come and support.
According to the leaders of Hai Duong Petroleum Company, the training session is important to raise awareness and responsibility for fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and salvage for the unit's officers and employees. This is also an opportunity for the company to enhance its standing capacity, readiness to respond and handle fire fighting, rescue and salvage situations. In particular, it is to improve the company's management and command capacity for fire fighting, and its ability to coordinate with professional and local fire fighting, rescue and salvage forces.
The force participating in the practice plan has nearly 100 people including forces from the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department, Hai Duong City Police, Tan Binh Ward and Hai Duong Petroleum Company.
