Launching the first personal data protection compliance platform in Vietnam

On June 6, Vietnam Data Security Joint Stock Company (VNDS) officially introduced DataTrust - the first personal data protection compliance platform in Vietnam.

As cybersecurity threats increase, businesses are also facing the risk of data breaches. According to IBM's Cost of a Data Breach Report, the cost of data breaches is nearly $5 million.

Businesses are suffering more and more as they are forced to pay more for services to recover lost or stolen information after a breach occurs.

In Vietnam, incidents related to data leaks are also posing many risks and challenges and becoming a concern for many organizations and businesses in complying with regulations and having appropriate protection measures.

Decree 13/2023/ND-CP of the Government on personal data protection officially takes effect from July 2023, stipulating that organizations and enterprises must strictly comply with both management requirements and technical requirements in protecting personal data.

Implementing compliance with technical requirements such as obtaining consent and ensuring data subject rights is a problem for many organizations and businesses today when there is no complete, comprehensive solution to support compliance implementation in an easy, convenient and regulatory-compliant manner.
