According to records on many roads in the area, strong winds have knocked down many trees and electric poles; broken glass doors, and blown away the corrugated iron roofs of many households. Many roads in the area, especially National Highway 18 through Cam Pha, are currently blocked by fallen trees and electric poles, making it impossible for vehicles to move.

Cam Pha City requires people to absolutely not leave their homes and safe shelters; regularly update information on storm developments, to have a plan for safe prevention and control.

Coal industry units initially recorded damage caused by storm No. 3

In Cam Pha area, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on September 7, all mines were without power. To ensure the safety of the mine, underground units activated generators to prioritize mine drainage pumps and fans.

At Cua Ong Port (Cua Ong Coal Selection Company) and Dien Cong Port (Da Bac Logistics Company), there are heavy rains and strong gusts of wind causing initial minor damage. Although before the storm, Cam Pha Logistics Company had reinforced the tarpaulin covers of coal warehouses, however, strong gusts of wind blew the tarpaulins off some coal warehouses. Currently, the unit is urgently deploying fences and barriers around the warehouses to prevent coal from drifting. In particular, the dining area at Cao Son Coal Joint Stock Company's quarry site was affected by strong winds, causing the entire corrugated iron roof to be blown off and some trees to fall.

To continue responding to storm No. 3, TKV is requiring all storm response units to strictly follow 24/7 procedures, and to limit people and vehicles from going out if not necessary.

Tien Yen rain, strong wind, many aquaculture rafts drifted away

Tien Yen had heavy rain and wind, many trees fell, corrugated iron roofs were blown off, and people's aquaculture rafts were swept away.

In particular, Dong Rui commune is the commune that suffers from strong winds and is being affected the most.

Dong Rui Commune authorities have actively mobilized and supported all 39 households with 115 people who have temporary houses with corrugated iron roofs to move to a safe place. Along with that, the authorities also supported people to reinforce cages, boats and some constructions at risk of being severely affected by the storm; continued to review, grasp information and promptly come up with solutions to ensure the safety of people's lives and property.

Previously, to ensure the safety of the people, the local government temporarily closed the barbie to prohibit people from moving back and forth on the spillway at the Tien Yen District Boat and Boat Storm Shelter. This area currently has 34 fishing boats anchored. All fishermen have been brought ashore to a safe shelter. Currently, this area is experiencing heavy rain and very strong winds. The local government and functional forces of the district and commune are still arranging guards at the boarding and disembarking points, closely monitoring to prevent people from getting on boats and rafts.

Dam Ha: Strong winds caused many trees and signs to fall, no human casualties

Recorded in Dam Ha district, currently, the wind is getting stronger, up to level 7, accompanied by heavy rain due to the influence of storm Yagi.

According to a quick report, strong winds have knocked down and broken many trees, forestry plants, and signs... in communes and towns. There have been no human casualties; no landslides or localized flooding have been recorded.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vu Van Dien inspected and directed Dam Ha district to strengthen measures to grasp the situation of residential areas, continuously inform and propagate so that people are updated promptly according to the developments of storm Yagi. In particular, the district needs to prepare contingency plans, proactively respond to dangerous weather patterns accompanying the storm, resolutely not let unexpected incidents occur due to subjectivity, determine that people's safety is paramount; promptly prepare plans and plans to respond to situations of prolonged heavy rain, flooding... after storm Yagi passes.
