Fined 13 million VND for driver who stopped car, spread mat and sat eating next to highway

On February 3, a representative of the Highway Traffic Control Patrol Team No. 1 (Traffic Police Department, Ministry of Public Security) said that the unit had just issued a fine to a driver who stopped the car for his family to sit on a mat to eat on the Noi Bai - Lao Cai highway.

Accordingly, at 11:25 a.m. the same day, the working group of Team 1 discovered car 14A-797.XX illegally parked at km133+400 (direction Lao Cai - Hanoi).

During the inspection, the traffic police team continued to discover 4 people sitting on mats eating next to the highway.

Reporting to the traffic police, VAT driver (born in 1980, residing in Me Linh, Hanoi) said that because it was convenient, he let his family members get off and spread out mats to eat next to the highway.

The traffic police team has propagated the danger of this behavior and made a record to fine the VAT driver for the violation: Stopping and parking illegally on the highway.

For this violation, VAT drivers will be fined 13 million VND and have their driving license points deducted.
