A clip has been circulating on social media recording the scene of a truck driver being assaulted by three people at around 9:23 a.m. on June 22 at Km 216, Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway.
On the afternoon of June 24, Lao Cai Provincial Police informed that Bao Yen District Police had issued an emergency detention order for 3 subjects who assaulted a driver on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai highway.
Previously, a clip was circulated on social media recording the scene of a truck driver being assaulted by 3 subjects on the Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway. The incident occurred at around 9:23 a.m. on June 22 at Km 216, Noi Bai-Lao Cai Expressway.
The two vehicles involved in the incident were Truc Nguu passenger bus 24B-00919 and truck 24C-05165.
Upon receiving the information, Bao Yen District Police coordinated with Team 1, Division 6, Traffic Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) to search for the two related cars. At around 11 p.m. on June 22, forces from Team 1, Division 6, Traffic Police Department stopped passenger bus 24B-00919 and contacted the owner of truck 24C-05165 pulling trailer 24R-01316 and related people to the Bao Yen District Police headquarters for questioning.
The Investigation Police Agency of Bao Yen District Police has established a Council to examine the scene and issued an order to detain in an emergency case the driver Nguyen Van Tao (born in 1978, residing in Hung Vuong ward, Phu Tho town, Phu Tho province), the assistant driver Tran Manh Cuong (born in 1982, residing in Phu Ha residential area, Phong Chau ward, Phu Tho town, Phu Tho province) and the assistant driver Ho Van Truong (born in 2001, residing in Thai Bo village, Thong Nhat commune, Lao Cai city, Lao Cai province) to investigate and clarify according to the provisions of law.
At the investigation agency, driver Nguyen Van Tao stated that when the collision occurred, although Tao signaled to stop the vehicle to resolve the matter, the truck owner did not stop but continued to drive away.
Because he was so angry at that action, Tao stopped the truck and the above incident happened.
The Investigation Police Agency of Bao Yen District Police is continuing to investigate to handle the subjects in accordance with the provisions of law.
