Mr. Thich Minh Tue has just sent a petition to the authorities about not gathering in large crowds and spreading his image on social networks.
On the evening of November 13, relatives of Mr. Thich Minh Tue (birth name Le Anh Tu, residing in village 6, Ia To commune, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai) said that he had just sent a petition to the authorities, organizations, family, individuals and society.
In the petition, Mr. Thich Minh Tue called himself "child", requesting not to gather in large crowds to ensure traffic safety, security and order, not to film and distribute his image on social networks so as not to affect the process of practicing and studying according to the 13 ascetic practices according to Buddha's teachings, as well as according to the provisions of the law.
Mr. Minh Tue requested that the authorities take action against anyone who posts information about him on social networks without his permission.
In the petition, Mr. Minh Tue affirmed that he is not a monk, Buddha or god. Mr. Minh Tue also stated that he is just a citizen who is learning according to the teachings of Buddha Shakyamuni and hopes that everyone will create conditions for him to learn.

From 2017 to 2023, Mr. Tu practiced alms-giving and walked from the South to the North and vice versa three times. During that time, his travel and practice of alms-giving went smoothly, without affecting security and order.
2024 was the fourth time Mr. Tu went on alms round on foot. Starting from Khanh Hoa province, he followed the main road to Cao Bang - Ha Giang and then went back. When passing through many localities, there was a phenomenon of large crowds following him, affecting security, order, traffic safety and the environment.
In response to the above incidents, the authorities met and discussed with Mr. Tu about the State's consistent policy of respecting freedom of belief and religion for everyone; local authorities have always cared for and created conditions for him to walk and travel as he wished, but must ensure the safety of people's lives and health and social stability. Mr. Tu clearly recognized the rights and obligations of a citizen and voluntarily stopped walking for alms.
After that, Mr. Le Anh Tu returned to his permanent residence in village 6, Ia To commune, Ia Grai district, Gia Lai province to continue his religious practice. However, while he was there, many curious people still came to his place of residence and study, affecting security and order, traffic safety as well as his religious practice.
