The presence of the Korean coach excited many students, who gathered around to ask for photos and autographs. Mr. Kim Sang Sik shared that he tried to arrange his schedule to watch the tournament, because he himself had grown up from Korean student football before becoming a professional.
The captain of the Vietnamese team highly values school football and hopes to contribute to the development of the student football movement in his country. At the same time, he hopes that one day Korean student teams will have the opportunity to exchange and compete with Vietnamese students.
The 2025 Vietnam Youth Student Football Tournament has 12 teams participating in the final round, divided into 3 groups competing from March 1 to 16. The first and second-placed teams in each group, along with the two third-placed teams with the best results, will advance to the quarterfinals. From the quarterfinals onwards, if the match is tied after 80 minutes, the two teams will decide the winner by a penalty shootout.
After this tournament, the Organizing Committee will continue to organize the International Youth Student Football Tournament from March 22 to 30, also at Ton Duc Thang University Stadium, promising to be an attractive playground for school football.
