Enthusiastic and professional female union president

Meeting Ms. Xuan on the first day of March, she smiled and said that this was the week when female workers were responding to the “Ao Dai Week” launched by the higher-level union. Therefore, the female teachers in the school all wore Ao Dai of many colors to school, which was the beauty of the teachers when standing on the podium, but she herself chose the blue Ao Dai, the typical color of the union.

Although she was only elected as Union President a year ago, she is an active and enthusiastic person, so Ms. Xuan and the school's Union Executive Committee have organized many useful and meaningful activities for union members.

The top priority of the school union is to take care of union members in difficulty. Thanh Ha High School has 80 union members, some of whom are seriously ill and in difficult circumstances. Understanding the union members' circumstances, Ms. Xuan directly consulted with the school's Board of Directors, proposing specific care activities such as mobilizing union members to support union members in difficulty with the spirit of "The healthy leaves cover the torn leaves". Thanks to that, some people received tens of millions of VND in support for medical treatment. After receiving the agreement of the Board of Directors, Ms. Xuan and the Executive Board of the union discussed with the leaders of the union groups to arrange reasonable teaching time for union members with illness, creating conditions to help them complete their work when they are sick. These are also cases that the school and the Executive Board of the union pay attention to, giving priority to visiting and giving gifts on holidays and Tet.

In addition, Ms. Xuan also has many good ideas to promote the school union movement more actively. According to Ms. Xuan, in order for the movement to develop, the activities must be practical and attract union members to participate. Therefore, the first time the union organized a volleyball tournament, it attracted a large number of union members. On the occasion of November 20, she organized a performance and bamboo dance program between staff, teachers and students, creating a joyful and exciting atmosphere in the school. On the occasion of the recent Tet holiday, the school union coordinated with the Youth Union to organize the program "Tet Sum Vay" with many activities such as preparing a year-end feast, guiding students to traditional Vietnamese values.

On the occasion of March 8 this year, Ms. Xuan organized a contest called “Ao Dai Performance”. In addition to the performance of female teachers, this year there was the participation of female students from all grades, creating an exciting atmosphere, attracting the whole school to watch and cheer. On this occasion, the school’s union also mobilized union members and students to donate Ao Dai. All donated Ao Dai will be sent to the Hai Duong Education Union to give to union members in need.

Ms. Xuan shared: “The results are the attention and close direction of the Board of Directors, along with the solidarity of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union. We will focus on union members to improve the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.”

Not only enthusiastic about the movement, Ms. Xuan is also a teacher with solid expertise. She is a teacher with excellent achievements in training excellent students, praised by the Department of Education and Training, an excellent homeroom teacher for many years and also a grassroots emulation fighter for many years. In the 2022-2023 school year, Ms. Xuan was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for her excellent performance in the 2022-2023 school year. Thanh Ha High School's Trade Union was also awarded by the Education Trade Union for its outstanding achievements in the trade union movement and is an outstanding trade union in implementing the program "1 million initiatives to overcome difficulties creatively, determined to win the pandemic".

Mr. Vu Ba Ha, Chairman of the Hai Duong Education Trade Union, said that although she is new, Ms. Xuan has clearly demonstrated her responsibility as the chairwoman of the grassroots trade union. Not only is she energetic and enthusiastic, Ms. Xuan is always close to and listens to union members to make timely and reasonable suggestions to the Board of Directors as well as the higher-level trade union and has made positive contributions to the industry trade union movement.
