Two community carriages on the North-South train are painted with Tet atmosphere and brightly decorated to bring a special experience to passengers.
Train SE1 with the Hanoi - Ho Chi Minh City schedule departs from Hanoi station at 22:10 and train SE4 departs in the opposite direction at 19:30 on January 28 (December 29) decorated with colorful spring paintings on the community car. This is the first time this idea has been implemented to bring a warm spring, a special experience to passengers on New Year's Eve.
Two workers from the Hanoi Carriage Factory repaint the train doors. The interior and exterior of the car are decorated with Tet colors and dozens of paintings covering both sides of the train.
Scenes of the old Tet flower market, families gathering to wrap Chung cakes, sunny street corners, calligraphers, lion dances, water puppetry and folk games have been completed.
Artist Truong Trong Quyen and his friends came up with the idea and drew on the train, sharing that the journey to welcome the New Year of the last travelers on the train is not simply moving from departure point to destination, but will have many more impressive, unique, and different experiences such as "traveling and welcoming Tet at the same time".
Two artists Tran Trieu Tuyet and Phan Minh Bach directly participated in the painting and will accompany passengers on the North-South train on New Year's Eve.
The paintings are mainly folk paintings with a Dong Ho style.
The train departing from Hanoi station is decorated with the pink color of peach blossoms, a typical flower of Tet. In the "peach blossom" train departing from the north, the community train is designed in a stylized way like a blooming flower forest, creating the feeling of Tet coming and spring coming.
Meanwhile, the train from the south is bathed in the yellow of apricot blossoms. The train has temporarily removed its seats to make construction easier. The lantern motifs, bamboo blinds, calligraphy, and lucky money envelopes attract the eye in the joyful, warm, and spring-filled atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday. At night, the entire train will be sparkling with lights.
After more than a month of decoration, the two community cars are basically complete, waiting for the seats to be installed.
At the moment of New Year's Eve, in this carriage, passengers can immerse themselves in the festive atmosphere with the countdown program, participate in lucky draws with many attractive gifts; play folk games, enjoy typical Tet dishes; participate in a "mobile" creative camp, paint with artists on the first day of the new year...
Major stations along the route have also been decorated to create highlights, ready to welcome passengers during the Lunar New Year.
