In the joyful and bustling moment of New Year's Eve, the first citizens of 2025 were born.
At exactly 0:00 on the first day of the new year, January 1, 2025, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh, Director of the Central Maternity Hospital, and Dr. Phan Thi Thu Nga, Deputy Head of the Examination Department, and the entire team happily welcomed the first baby born by natural birth.
Born at 37 weeks and 2 days, with a mother with a history of gestational diabetes, baby boy Nguyen To Tue Minh was born healthy, weighing 3.5 kg.
The boy is the second child of To Thi Thuy Dung, born in 1994 and Nguyen Thanh Tu, born in 1990 (Dong Anh, Hanoi).
As the first baby born at the hospital in 2025, the baby was marked and given a bracelet with the code number 001.
Holding her newborn son, Ms. Dung and her husband said: "My family is very happy and lucky that our baby was born healthy at the very sacred moment between the old year and the new year. I am very grateful to the doctors for taking such good care of me and my baby."
Professor, Dr. Nguyen Duy Anh, who directly cut the umbilical cord for baby Tue Minh, said that the greatest joy of an obstetrician is to welcome angels into the world, babies are the happiness of the family and of society.
At exactly 0:00 on January 1, Tu Du Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City) also welcomed 7 newborn citizens, including 4 boys and 3 girls.
The first son of Mr. Vu Minh Phuong and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet (Ho Chi Minh City) was born at the first moment of the new year. The baby was due on January 10, 2025, however, on the afternoon of December 31, 2024, Ms. Tuyet showed signs of labor and was hospitalized. The baby was born on a very special day.
To welcome the first citizens of the new year, Tu Du Hospital has prepared 20 special gifts for babies, mothers and families.
