After the Politburo announced the health status of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, which stated that "due to the need to continue to prioritize time for General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to focus on active treatment and to ensure the general management of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, based on the Working Regulations of the 13th Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, the Politburo immediately assigned Comrade To Lam, Politburo member, President to preside over the work of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat according to the responsibilities and powers prescribed by the Politburo", Party members and people in localities all expressed their absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and the management of the State.

Veteran Party member, Colonel Tran Duc San (Nghia Do ward, Cau Giay district, Hanoi) said that the Politburo's assignment of Comrade To Lam, Politburo member and President to preside over the work of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat according to the responsibilities and powers prescribed by the Politburo is appropriate and in accordance with regulations.

This not only ensures the general management of the Party Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat, but also allows General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to rest assured in his health treatment.

“This is a normal working relationship to ensure the common operation of the country. This continuity will make the entire people and army feel secure and have absolute trust in the leadership of the Party and State,” Colonel Tran Duc San affirmed.

Hoping that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's health will soon stabilize, Mr. Bui Cong Bien, Secretary of the Party Cell of Residential Group No. 7, Xuan La Ward, Tay Ho District, Hanoi, said he agreed with the Politburo's announcement on assigning work to Comrade To Lam to preside over the work of the Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat.
